Created for a Windows PC-compatible home computer*, this interactive data CD-ROM features full access to the contents of Violin Online String Sampler. Designed like a website, all 54 print & play violin pieces with accompanying mp3 music are included as part of the following sections:
STUDY UNITS: Explore various styles of string music throughout history, and learn more about major musical forms such as concertos, symphonies, sonatas, quartets, trios and more.
LISTENING ROOM: Listen to mp3 sound files of the 54 featured pieces, and print violin sheet music on your own computer with the included jpeg files.**
VIOLIN & MUSIC BASICS: Review the fundamentals of violin playing, fingering, technique tips, and music theory basics, and play along with our scales and etudes.

Please note this interactive instructional data CD-ROM is not a video or an audio CD. It is designed for a Windows PC-compatible computer, and requires no installation or download (no Mac version is currently available). To use, insert the CD-ROM in your CD/DVD drive, and the Violin Online String Sampler application should automatically begin. If AutoRun is disabled on your computer, browse to the CD/DVD drive the CD-ROM is located in, and double click on the Violin Online String Sampler “VOSS.exe” icon. The application should begin in a matter of moments. Although the AutoRun feature works for most users ( e.g. those using Windows XP/ME/98 etc.), some users with Windows Vista have found they need to manually begin the application by following the instructions above.
**To print sheet music from the CD-ROM, use the file/print preview function in the upper left corner of jpeg sheet music images. Printing sheet music requires that your computer is connected to a printer.
